It's a Mad Mad Mad World #3

Sorry it’s been a while since my last update for this series. Been busy with the Bucket List. Anyway, I’ll keep it briefer than usual.

1. Democrat’s Pro-Gay Speech- For those of you who don’t know, I am pro-gay marriage. There is no reason why gay people should not be allowed to get married and whenever they start the debate people against it always use the religious argument. Well the United States is a secular country so automatically that argument is invalid but that’s what keeps derailing the push for equality. Recently a politician said something that made so much sense I was blown away. Here’s the video. Not bad. If only everyone in this country used their brains instead of thumping a bible.

2. Despite Economic Growth, India Lets It’s Girls Die- So you know how China has a huge gender imbalance with more men than women? Well India’s is worse. Like, a LOT worse. As of right now there are 914 girls under age 6 for every 1000 boys. In 10-20 years there is going to be social chaos. And it’s all their fault. Sex-selective abortion, neglect of young girls and other barbaric practices are at fault. If the Indian people don’t wake up soon they’re going to be creating the Perfect Storm. Of shit.

3. Pakistan Aiding Osama bin Laden?- And of course the big news that everyone is still talking about is Osama bin Laden’s death. Good riddance. But that success created some problems. Firstly, no one knows whose side Pakistan is on. I’ve been saying they were playing a double game since 2003 and no one listened to me. Now, they’re trying to divert attention away from their own cowardice and inability to pull their own weight by trying to make the US look like the bad guy. Nice try Pakistan but you’re running out of friends. To understand how much of a failure Pakistan is as a nation you need to know some things about its government. There are three sources of power. The military, who throws a coup about once a decade, the ISI, who are like the organization Quantum from the James Bond movies, and the civilian government who holds the least amount of power. That’s not how you run a country. In the US, and most other western countries, the power of the civilian government is absolute. The military has no governing power at all. With the way Pakistan is run, the military and ISI do their own thing and actively choose not to obey the civilian government. So they run the country and the president has no hold over them. And each organization wants something different. No unity at all. That is what makes Pakistan a breeding ground for fanaticism.

4. Pakistani Agenda in Washington-While we’re on the topic, evidence has surfaced that Pakistan is using lobbyists in Washington to influence lawmakers opinions into believing that they weren’t helping bin Laden. Of course they were. They’re using our aid money that we gave them to battle terrorists to brainwash our leaders. PAKISTAN IS THE ENEMY.

5. Crucified South Korean- And on a weirder note, police found a 58 year old taxi driver crucified in an abandoned quarry. He was dead. Apparently he was a willing participant and whoever helped him set it up used an electric screwdriver on his hands and feet. Hey, whatever works for you.

VICTORY!!!!!!

This just in. Osama bin Laden, public enemy #1 has been killed in Pakistan. And they say they have the body so it must be legit. I can't even begin to describe my feelings right now. Elation. Satisfaction. Also a little disappointed that it wasn't me who put an end to him. And to think that all this started because he got butthurt that Saudi Arabia sided with the US against Iraq back in 1991 instead of teaming up with his ragtag group of misfits. Seems like that would be an obvious choice. "Dudes who hide in caves and drink their own urine or the strongest country to ever exist? Hmmmmm...I am in a pickle!" So what made him go nuts? Wounded pride at being left behind when he was no longer useful after the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan? Religious fanaticism at having Western soldiers in his particular patch of sand? Or maybe he just needed a boogeyman to hold onto power in his organization? Who knows and who cares. He got what he had coming to him and I hope it was painful. It just shows everyone out there who thinks they can mess with the United States that if you start some shit, we will find you, and we will fuck you up beyond reckoning. We will wage a total war against you. We will destroy ourselves, our economy, our country, the entire world, just to get you. We don't care!


On a serious note. This is especially important for me. I was in the 7th grade when I watched the 9/11 attacks happening live on TV. So for all of my adult, socially conscious life this guy has been like a dark shadow hanging over us. Just knowing that he had bloodied our nose and gotten away with it really drove Americans crazy. And now that he's dead, more importantly dead at American hands, maybe we as a country can gain back some of our sanity.

But the war isn't over yet. There are still plenty of bad guys out there that need killing. Hopefully this will demoralize the rest of them for the duration of their summer campaigns. I think it was very tactful how the US government announced this on the first day of the Taliban's summer operations. Bravo! And if Osama's spirit can somehow access the internet and find this blog I want him to know this:

You deserve to die a thousand deaths for this new age of violence and conflict that you unleashed. All the hundreds of thousands, millions of lives that have been destroyed by American vengeance are on your head. You wanted a fight so we brought the noise and you hid in your cave like a cowardly animal. You're nothing. Not even human. Just a filthy beast, unworthy of mercy or compassion. There is no heaven for you. No virgins. No paradise. You will be thrown down into the deepest and hottest (or coldest, whichever you prefer) part of Hell with the great betrayers and live out the rest of eternity in torment.

I want to send a big shout out to all the thousands of people who were involved in tracking him down over the years. You guys are the real deal. Total badasses. Keep up the good work! Who's down for a high 5? Don't leave me hangin!

It's a Mad Mad Mad World #1

So I want to write about current events and political stuff but I don’t want to suffocate my blog with it so I decided I’d unleash my fury about once a week or so and talk about stories that caught my attention. Ready? Let’s do it.

1.China Issues Report Criticizing US Human Rights. This is just becoming a typical tit for tat kind of thing every year. The US issues its report on China citing the usual lack of freedom of speech/press/movement/religion/politics/torture/repression/etc and China issues its own saying that the US pushes for internet freedom but attacked Wikileaks, that many people are homeless, that there is rampant violent crime, too much money in politics, and some other stuff.
In defense of the US, I think Wikileaks was in the wrong for what it did. I’m all for government transparency but that information was stolen; some of it was classified top secret, and published. That sounds pretty illegal to me. About violent crime, if you aren’t doing what you aren’t supposed to be doing then you’ll be fine. Homelessness? In the big cities I guess it’s a problem but China has homeless people out the yin yang so they got no room to talk. China also blamed “huge civilian casualties” in Iraq and Afghanistan on the US even though numerous reports by many different organizations have proven that the majority of civilian deaths are caused by extremists. China dropped the ball again in its own report. Nice job fellas. You would think that instead of pointing fingers both countries would work on the areas they need improvement. But that makes too much sense for the people in charge so they'll just keep playing their games.

2.Pakistani-US intelligence Freeze- So the Pakistani people are getting riled up because the US is using drone strikes in their territory to kill insurgents that the Pakistani military is too incompetent to handle. That, AND a CIA contractor shot and killed 2 Pakistani men who approached him in an aggressive manner in a busy market district. I’m inclined to side with CIA guy in that situation. And the Pakistani government is using that as leverage to get a little more clout in Washington. They’re mad about alleged civilian casualties in the drone strikes too. But it’s hilarious because it’s Pakistan’s ISI that gives us the intel on where to strike. So either they want us to kill the wrong people on purpose to ferment anti-American feelings in the populace, or they’re just too stupid to know who’s who. Pakistan’s a political mess. Everyone’s corrupt. No one listens to the central government. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and the right hand doesn’t know what the thumb is doing. Pakistan has its head so far up its own ass it can hear the sound of its small intestine as it produces shit. I say scale back the aid money they get until they learn who’s calling the shots or just drop them all together. India is where it's at anyway.

3. US Citizen Detained in North Korea- OMFG. Why won’t people realize that North Korea is not a place where you should go? Especially when you know that they don’t joke around about illegal immigration! Carter and Clinton need to sit this one out. If we quit rescuing these morons that get themselves caught over there the rest of them will realize that it’s not such a good idea. They’re probably going to try to use that guy as a bargaining chip to get some food aid or something. And our government will probably bitch out and give it to them.

4. The US Budget- Sigh….You got Obama and the democrats on one side saying “Hey cool dudes! How about we cut a little bit now but not really?” And then you got Boehner(Ha!) and the republicans saying “No way dude. We’re cutting everything!” So that’s pretty much what’s going on as I understand it. It’s a big mess and these old guys just can’t seem to look into the future and see that we’re still going to be in debt in 15-20 years if they don't something drastic. It’s kind of like my parents and grandparents using up all the gasoline back in the day without thinking that there might not be any left for me. Kind of. Maybe not. The point is there’s no foresight going on. And if the only solution they come up with is to raise taxes I’ll tell you right now, I ain’t paying.

5.NASA Retiring Space Shuttles- Ending on a positive note, they finally decided where the shuttles are going to end up after they’re retired. I’ve seen some concept art for the next generation of spacecraft and they look really awesome. Instead of developing their own ships, NASA is leaving it in the hands of commercial spaceflight companies that are springing up here and there. In 10 years they say you can hitch a joy ride to the moon for like, 100 thousand bucks.
