Bucket List #2 - Central and South America

Here's the next installment in the surprisingly popular Bucket List series.

Havana, Cuba I always thought that it was bullcrap for the US to still have the embargo in place. Cuba has developed a distinct Latin culture relatively free of American influence and I’m not talking about communism.

Eleuthera, Bahamas A picturesque Caribbean island, Eleuthera is renowned in the region for its pineapples and has a festival dedicated to them annually. Everybody’s got to have some kind of claim to fame. Out of all the Bahaman islands I’ve seen this one looks the most beautiful.

Tikal, Guatemala Ancient pyramids and temples dedicated to old gods that were nourished with the blood of thousands of human sacrifices? I’m there.

Day of the Dead, Mexico City, Mexico Imagine if Halloween had a baby with Easter. You’d get “Dia de los Muertos.” A blend of Christianity with the native religions of Mexico. The most famous aspect of the holiday is the All Souls March.

Amazon Rainforest, Brazil I’ve seen every episode of “Survivorman” and “Man vs Wild” so I’m pretty sure I could make it.

Rio de Jeneiro, Brazil It’s South America’s most popular tourist city because that’s just how awesome it is. It’s got everything you could ask for. Sports, art, music, food and sights to see.

Cartagena, Colombia One of the most scenic Latin cities in my opinion, Cartagena is full of history and offers plenty to see and do. Like the ocean? Well jump in. Want to go on a jungle adventure? Well take a step outside.

Andes Mountains, Ecuador The longest mountain range in the world, the Andes extend throughout 7 countries and has a maximum elevation of 22,841 feet (6962 meters). So yeah. It’s cold.

Juan Fernandez Islands, Chile Once home to a sailor named Alexander Selkirk who allegedly inspired the novel “Robinson Crusoe.” It’s just so pretty! :D

Panama City, Panama Even if everyone else in the world hates America, Panama will still have our backs. If you’re in a bar and people find out that you’re an American don’t be surprised if random people come up and share drinks with you. And if you’re not American they could care less about you.

San Martin de los Andes, Argentina A sleepy mountain town on the border with Chile, it’s a well-known hotspot for skiing and snowboarding and has several bodies of water suitable for water sports.

That's it for now. Don't be shy! Leave a comment and let me know what you think shouldn've made the list. I'll update soon with the next chapter. AFRICA!!! Yes, believe it or not I would like to go to Africa. Boo-yah. Thanks to everyone who follows my stuff. You guys are cool.

  1. Beautiful site! South America is a continent of the Americas, situated entirely in the western hemisphere and mostly in the southern hemisphere. The continent includes various islands. Thanks a lot for sharing with us...

  2. Your gorgeous blue, purple and orange rugged mountain range is listed as being in Ecuador. It's actually in southern Chile.
