Modern Monsters #2 - Pope Pius XII

Born in Rome on March 2, 1876 to an aristocratic family with deep Papal ties (Black Nobility), Pope Pius XII went to seminary school at the age of 18 and later went to the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Appolinare Institute of Lateran University and then he went to the University of Rome La Sapienza. He jumped around a lot so you’ll have to excuse me for not listing the rest of his schools. Over the years leading up to the first world war he steadily climbed the ranks. He even gained enough prestige to represent the Holy See at the coronation of King George V in 1911. He became Cardinal Secretary of State and formed a concordat with Serbia just four days before Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. After the war he became pretty much the under-pope of the European territory of the former German Empire. Pope Pius XI died on February 10,1939 and Pius XII was quickly elected as Pope. Things looked alright for a while when he broke Italy’s iron grip on the church by surrounding himself with a mix of nationalities who had previously been black-balled like Americans, Germans and Dutch.

He turned to the dark side in World War 2 when he offered his protection and support for Jewish officials and rabbis who had been “encouraged” to betray their followers to the Germans. Thousands of these traitors somehow found their way to Rome. The Chief Rabbi of Rome, Israel Zolli, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, Isaac Herzog and Rabbi Safran of Bucharest were all complicit in the scheme and were aware of the millions of people being sent to Nazi death camps. The rabbis and officials who fled to Rome weren’t just given a shack on the outskirts of the city. They were often given quarters IN the Vatican City as well as the Papal palace in Castel Gandolfo. Once new identities had been forged (at the Pope’s command) they were usually sent to Palestine or the United States. After this was done and things weren’t looking good for the fascists, Pius XII started doing the exact same thing for officials from governments and church organizations responsible for mass murder including Nazis, Italians, Romanians and Croats. This scheme has since gained the appropriate moniker “the Rat Lines.” These guys actually stayed in the same rooms that the Jewish traitors had stayed in not long before. Pope Pius XII died on October 9, 1958 in a manner not hardly as painful as he deserved. Since his death the Vatican has launched a media blitz to try to cover up his crimes which unfortunately seems to be working.

His actions aided the wholesale slaughter of the Jews and other groups targeted during the Holocaust, allowed several thousand of those responsible to escape justice and marred an entire religion. In some respects his crimes are far worse than anything Hitler or Stalin did. He was a failure as a priest and a human being. He was openly hateful against black people, Jews, Orthodox Christians, Muslims and communists/socialists. He even conferred the spiritual powers of Jesuit priests on SS officers. WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!? He was practically sprinting to Hell. Pius XII has such a long rap sheet I can’t possibly go through it all.

Crimes- Hypocrisy, betrayal, extortion leading to further crimes against humanity, inciting violence and racial hatred, unlawful enterprise, heresy, aiding war criminals.

People killed: complicit in the mass murder of 11-17 million people.

  1. WanderingAmerican: Care to share the sources for that bit about the Jewish traitors that Pius XII supposedly helped in return for their complicity and silence? I've never heard about any of this before, and believe me, I have read A LOT about the Holocaust... Thanks!

  2. The Vatican has been very thorough in their cover up but it's still possible to find truthful documentation. But if you read up on him it's possible to see between the lines and figure out what went down. If you want I can find some more stuff online to read up on. Here's a few.

  3. Don't get me wrong, I know and fully believe that Pius XII was quite a despicable individual. Nevertheless, trying to implicate various Rabbis (especially ones like the then-Chief Rabbi of Palestine/Jerusalem Herzog) in dubious "schemes" involving their complicity in a major cover-up of Jewish extermination, quite simply has no base in actual history.

I have access to plenty of reference works in Hebrew published in Israel and elsewhere, including the Holocaust Encyclopaedia and other major works, and there's absolutely no mention of a betrayal like that. Yes, there were a few rabbis (like the Rabbis of Satmar and Belz) and officials who managed to flee while keeping their mouths shut about the Germans' true intentions. But Rabbi Herzog's biography is well-known and well-researched, and believe me, if there was anything like that in his past, I would have known.

What *is* known about Rabbi Herzog, is that he did come to the Vatican in 1946 to beg Pius XII to help get Jewish children out of cloisters, but he most certainly did not cover up anything. In fact, in 1941 he travelled to the States where he met with President FDR and demanded that concentration camps be bombed. He knew full well what was happening, and never tried to hide anything from the world or the Jews.

As for Rome's head rabbi Israel Zolli: he indeed acted improperly when he failed to warn Rome's Jews of the impending deportations. After WWII he was shunned by the remains of the community and converted to Christianity in 1945. While he did fail his task, he did not play along with anyone in the Vatican, and he certainly did not get to "shack up" in Castel Gandolfo. "Thousands of Jewish traitors and rabbis"? Please...

Similarly, there's no indication that Rabbi Alexander Safran of Bucharest did anything like that. He was one of the heads of the Jewish underground movement in Romania, in fact, and he did manage to use his connections with Western diplomats (including the Pope's Nuncio) to block some of the planned deportations. Again, he never covered up for anything and never conspired with Pius XII.

I'm afraid you've fallen prey to a simple anti-Semitic trick, one of the oldest in the book: supposedly, thousands of Jews were also involved in the plot, hence the Jews are also, partly if not mainly, responsible for their own downfall. Old, old tricks...

  4. Come on fella. Some Jews are bad and some are good. No different than anyone else. It's known that some higher ups gave up their people in order to be spared. As I've said before the Vatican has had major influence in deciding about how the "true" story was going to be. If you don't believe me then fine, whatever. All I can do is put the information out there and if you like, take it, if not, then it's not my problem. I'm throwing you daimonds here. Are you catching them? I got my sources from people in the know and you got your sources so let's just leave it at that.

  5. Like I said, I fully believe that Pius XII didn't go out of his way to help the persecuted, so that's not the point of our little discussion here. Neither do I think there's only good Jews, although some people have the propensity for thinking the exact opposite. I also know that some Jews did give in and betrayed their own people, no discussion there. Problem is, you mention specific individuals and make a rather outrageous claim about "thousands of rabbis and officials" who all found sanctuary in the Vatican, no less, without any real proof or valid sources.

Of the two sources you provided in a previous comment, the first one isn't working (or has been taken off the web), and the other doesn't contain anything specific beside a rather biased counter-offensive by a Jesuit cleric, and doesn't mention or allude to betrayals. If you have sources pertaining specifically to the occurrences or the Jewish individuals we've mentioned, please do produce them. As in any court of justice, the onus of proof is on the claimant...

Either way, thanks for the reply!

  6. Here's one. http://one-evil.org/acts_holocaust/acts_vatican_holocaust.htm Your comment was so long it was hard to focus in in something specific. There's obscure sources all over to look for them.

  7. Okay, lol, I was kinda expecting something a bit more serious than that... If that's the deluded kind of "sources" we're talking about, then I give up. Cheers, mate! :)
